Greg Forrest is a registered Patent Agent with the Canadian Intellectual Property Office and the United States Patent and Trademark Office. His practice includes the drafting and prosecution of patent applications, patent strategy, and evaluating technology for the purposes of freedom-to-operate, licensing, litigation, or acquisition.

Greg deals primarily with computer technologies, human-computer interfaces, drones and robotics, and agricultural technologies.

Greg has over 18 years experience in the patent field from working in-house at a Calgary-based technology company, a Boston-based patent search firm, a Bay Street full-service law firm, and an IP boutique. Throughout his career, Greg has managed and expanded international patent portfolios, advised executives and senior management on patent portfolio strategies and trade secret protection, evaluated patent portfolios for licensing and acquisition, collaborated with developers to formulate inventions and design around competitor patents, and conducted patent invalidity searches and analyses for clients involved in high-profile litigation.
